Accepted Items
The Picky Chick accepts gently worn Children's & Junior's clothing, accessories, toys, furniture & much more! Our sales are seasonal, which means we accept Easter outfits, beach toys, etc. at our Spring/Summer Sale and Christmas outfits & snow toys at our Fall/Winter Sale. See below for a listing of acceptable & unacceptable items. Note: Jeans & long sleeve newborn attire are accepted year round. List is for example purposes and is not comprehensive! Just ask if unsure about an item!
Acceptable Items
- Gently-used children's clothing…size preemie - Juniors
- Baby accessories including:
Diaper bags, bibs, hats, shoes, blankets, bottles (no used nipples), baby carriers, baby slings, hair bows
- Baby equipment including:
- High chairs, pack & plays, strollers, swings, bouncy seats, walkers, play gyms, Johnny jumpers, booster seats
- Infant & Children's furniture including:
Cribs*, changing tables, rocking chairs, toy boxes, desks, play kitchens, table & chair sets - Crib bedding, décor & wall hangings
- Children's toys, DVD's, books, puzzles, board games
- Dolls & action figures
- Video games, Nintendo DS, Play station, Leapster, etc.
- Computer Games, Learning materials, Home School Curriculum
- "Dress-up" clothing & accessories
- Dance, Gymnastics & Cheerleading equipment, attire & accessories
- Sports equipment, attire & accessories
- Outdoor play equipment including:
Climbing structures, slides, playhouses, swings, portable sand boxes - Riding Toys including:
Power Wheels, bikes, wagons, tricycles, scooters
Unacceptable Items
- Used under clothing (ie. bras, panties, hosiery) tights are ok
- Books or toys in poor condition, toys without working batteries
- Stuffed animals (plush toys in new condition that "do something" are accepted!)
- Stained, out of date or unstylish clothing
- Car seats or Boosters
- Used bottle nipples, sippy cups, pacifiers, breast pumps
- Maternity Clothing
- If you smoke in your home, your items will not be accepted due to odor.
Boutique Brands
The Picky Chick LOVES Boutique Name Brands! We sell ALL brands, but we have a special place in our heart for the SUPER NICE STUFF!! For this reason, we want to make it easy for our shoppers to find them! The following list is simply a guide to help you determine whether to "ribbon tag" or not. It is not all-inclusive. If you have a brand that is not listed and are unsure, simply ask! Email me anytime!
The "ribbon tag" simply means that these brands will have curling ribbon attached to the neck of their hangers. Ribbon can be any color but no longer than 4" please!
FYI: Gymboree, Gap and Ralph Lauren are GREAT BRANDS but for these purposes, they are NOT considered BOUTIQUE Brands.
